Well, the City of Des Moines per a twitter update tonight:

A good friend in Cedar Rapids has often pointed out that outside management may be a good direction for the City of Cedar Rapids to take in improving the operation and efficiency of the Cedar Rapids golf operations.

Local State Senator suggests $70 million for new building be moved for flood recovery

State Senator Rob Hogg (D- Cedar Rapids) suggests using $70 million budgeted for new Des Moines state government building would be better spent used on flood recovery.

His suggestion certainly has some merit for consideration. The Floods of 2008 require discussion and response.
